Large offshore oil development projects
Hugin A and Frøy are part of the Port of Immingham, a large offshore oil development in the North Sea for the UK's Anglo-Scottish Group. The North Sea is known for its unpredictable and harsh weather conditions and corrosive environment. These conditions require highly durable and robust materials.
We delivered over 80 tons of EN 1.4462 / Double Layer UNS S31803 Stainless Steel Plate to our high quality customer for the commissioning of the tanks. The material forms 10 tanks, 6 meters high and 2.4 meters in diameter.
EN 1.4462 / double-layer UNS S31803 is corrosion-resistant, completely maintenance-free and robust. As a result, this steel makes it possible to manufacture robust tanks with a service life of several decades.
