    Product Description
What Is AMS 5699 Nickel Alloy Spring Wire?

AMS 5699 is an aerospace grade nickel alloy spring wire standard certified by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), corresponding to the material Inconel X750 (UNS N07750). It is a high performance precision spring wire formed through a solution heat treatment followed by precipitation hardening. Produced using a vacuum melting process and strictly adhering to the latest AMS 5699H standard, this product combines ultra high heat resistance, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, and low stress relaxation characteristics. Unlike ordinary Stainless Steel spring wire, it can operate stably over the long term under extreme conditions involving high temperatures, corrosion, and high-frequency alternating loads, making it a specialized material for core spring components in aerospace, high end industrial equipment, and precision instruments.

Through optimized ratios of trace elements such as niobium, titanium, and aluminum, combined with a precise cold drawing and tempering process, this Alloy Steel Wire achieves a perfect balance between high strength and toughness. It effectively addresses industry challenges such as spring deformation, relaxation, and fracture in high-temperature environments, making it widely suitable for the manufacture of various high precision, high reliability springs and elastic components.

    Core Advantages

Exceptional High Temperature Resistance: Capable of sustained operation at temperatures up to 550°C and short-term exposure to temperatures exceeding 600°C. Exhibits no significant stress relaxation in high-temperature environments, maintains stable stiffness, and does not suffer from elastic decay or deformation failure due to rising temperatures, making it ideal for continuous operation under high temperature conditions.

Superior Corrosion and Aging Resistance: The high nickel chromium alloy matrix resists acid and alkali corrosion, salt spray, oxidation, and sulfidation. It can be used long-term in harsh corrosive environments such as humid, chemical, marine, and oil and gas settings. Its resistance to aging and oxidation far exceeds that of 304 and 316 stainless steel spring wire, extending service life by more than three times.

Ultra High Strength and Fatigue Resistance: Through precipitation hardening treatment, it exhibits excellent tensile and yield strengths, with a dense and uniform microstructure free of porosity and inclusions. It is resistant to fatigue fracture under high-frequency repetitive deformation and offers exceptional elastic stability, making it suitable for high-frequency, high-load precision elastic components.

Low Stress Relaxation and High Dimensional Accuracy: Precision cold-drawn forming ensures strictly controlled wire diameter tolerances, with a smooth surface free of burrs and scratches; a special tempering process significantly reduces internal stress, resulting in minimal deformation under long-term loads and ensuring lasting stability in component dimensions and elastic precision.

Stable and Reliable Overall Performance: It offers excellent cold and hot working properties as well as weldability; it does not fracture due to brittleness in low temperature environments, and its mechanical properties do not degrade. It is suitable for complex operating conditions involving alternating high and low temperatures. Certified under an aerospace grade quality management system, it delivers exceptional consistency and reliability.

    Application

With its comprehensive advantages of high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, high fatigue resistance, and high precision, AMS 5699 nickel alloy spring wire is specifically designed for high end, demanding operating conditions. Its core application areas are as follows:

Aerospace: Aircraft engine springs, precision on board elastic components, high temperature springs for aerospace equipment, and elastic components for aircraft control systems
High-End Industrial Equipment: Springs for high-temperature furnaces, elastic components for heat treatment equipment, boiler sealing springs, and high-temperature valve springs

Petrochemical/Offshore Engineering: Corrosion-resistant springs for oil and gas extraction equipment, corrosion-resistant elastic components for offshore applications, and sealing springs for chemical reaction equipment

Precision Instruments/High End Automotive Manufacturing: Elastic components for precision sensors, high-end turbine springs, springs designed for high temperature automotive operating conditions, and elastic components for precision instruments

Military/Specialized Equipment: Springs resistant to high and low temperatures for specialized operating conditions, elastic components designed for high-frequency alternating loads, and high precision springs for long term service

Common nickel alloy wires on the market suffer from issues such as impure composition, insufficient strength, severe high temperature creep, and excessive tolerances, which significantly impact the service life of springs and the stability of equipment. Our AMS 5699 nickel alloy spring wire strictly complies with aerospace standards, featuring precise composition, stable performance, minimal tolerances, and high batch to batch consistency. We strictly exclude substandard recycled materials and non-standard materials with altered specifications. Complete test reports are provided for every batch, making it the preferred raw material for high-end precision springs and elastic components operating under extreme conditions. We also carry other Alloy Steel Material.
